Bobo's Ski & Patio

Went in as a total beginner to the snowboard department and was helped by Josh who was an absolute gem. He helped me pick out a board, bindings and boots and explained everything about them and their use in great detail which helped me make a decision on what was right for me and my level. Super friendly and knowledgeable guy, as well as the other blokes in that section. Was helped by another lovely fellow, whom unfortunately I did not get his name, to pick out a helmet which fit perfectly, so a big thanks to him too. Overall a really good experience for me :)

Thank you Bobo’s and most importantly Mike Hume for recommending a ski boot that finally solved the foot pain I’ve been experiencing with my last two pairs of boots. I’m an intermediate/advanced skier at 63 years old, I have a wide forefoot and high arch. After measuring my feet Mike recommended a Rossignol speed 120 HV+ GW and Sidas 3 feet, high, winter, orthotic. After trying out the boots in store for awhile Mike heated up and punched out one little hot spot in my right boot for my right foot which is a half size larger than my left. I skied all day at Mt Rose today absolutely pain free which was a first in a long time. Normally pain would require me to remove my boots at lunch, today I didn’t even loosen my buckles. Not only are these boots very comfortable for my feet and very easy to walk in they were a big performance upgrade from my Atomic 100 boots that were made for wide forefeet. My heals were locked in and the boots fit like gloves on my feet. I understand why they named these boots speed, they had me over the front of my skis more than expected. They’re solid under foot and very responsive compared to what I had been skiing in but most importantly to me comfortable. My happy feet thank you Mike!

After two decades of loyal patronage, encompassing referrals, family and friends in their employ, and annual purchases or rentals, it is with regret that I express our dissatisfaction with the recent experiences at Bobo's Ski & Patio. Over the past three seasons, we have observed a decline in service quality and expertise within the rental shop. While we understand the occasional introduction of new staff, we have encountered recurrent issues with the setup of seasonal rentals in recent years. Instances such as improperly configured DIN settings, incorrectly mounted snowboards, and hardware inadequacies have been frustrating. While we acknowledge the challenges associated with training new personnel, we anticipated prompt resolution when errors were attributable to the shop's oversight. Regrettably, this has not been the case. Our most recent encounter, involving a switch from seasonal ski rental to a snowboard rental for our daughter, proved to be particularly disheartening. The staff, unfortunately, lacked the necessary expertise and incorrectly configured her board. Moreover, they provided her with a board that was unsuitably large without adequately informing her of the discrepancy. We hold the belief that Bobo's should serve as the authority in such matters, especially for individuals like our daughter, who is only in her second season of snowboarding. Upon realizing the mistake, our expectation was a swift resolution upon returning to the shop. However, the response received was unexpected and disappointing. Bobo's attributed the error to our daughter, claiming she had accepted the oversized board. Furthermore, they offered a replacement board at an additional cost of $200, a fact undisclosed until after the binding had been swapped. The lack of transparency and the abrupt imposition of additional charges, nearly equaling the cost of the board being offered, were disconcerting. The subsequent interaction turned unpleasant, as the staff displayed rudeness towards our daughter, who rightfully questioned the unforeseen expenses. Despite her reluctance to bear the added cost and her request to revert to the original board, Bobo's remained unwilling to acknowledge any wrongdoing. In light of these experiences, we are compelled to reconsider our longstanding relationship with Bobo's Ski & Patio. We hope that our feedback prompts a reevaluation of customer service practices, ensuring that others do not encounter similar challenges in the future.

While waiting outside for season rentals as we were told, the blond lady managing the line decided it was more important to talk to a man her age instead of managing the line for season rentals. While she was too busy, three groups of customers were able to cut in the line setting us back 47 minutes. All she said was, "sorry"....time isn't money here and their customer service from this incident was very poor, especially since we were directed to wait outside. The kiosks were easy enough to check-in, they don't sanitize the workstations but they have sanititizer available to sanitize your hands after touching the community Kiosk. The young man at rentals was friendly and helpful and the rest of the rental experience was good, despite a complete waste of 47 minutes. The retail shop was full of gear and checkout was easy.

A bunch of washed up ski bums that forgot where they came from. Horrible advocates for snow sports. They take advantage of new riders just to earn a quick buck. Their rental shop is a straight scam and they have no interest in making sure that you are properly sized or even have safe equipment. Their boards and skies come with no wax and dull edges. My niece was recently given the wrong size snowboard for her season rental. When she went to exchange it, they were going to charge her an extra $200. Bobo's employees said it was her fault that they issued her the wrong size board.
